Livingston 1 - 0 Queen of South: Livi secure survival with win

Livingston secured their Scottish Championship safety as a 1-0 victory over Queen of the South preserved their second-tier safety on the final day.

Kyle Jacobs' penalty 12 minutes from time lifted Livi away from danger, while Cowdenbeath went straight into League One and Alloa dropped into the relegation play-off on goal difference alone.

Myles Hippolyte was thwarted by Alex Clark early in the second half as the visiting goalkeeper palmed away his goalbound effort.

The Lions were awarded a penalty late in the second half as Lewis Kidd fouled Daniel Mullen, allowing Jacobs to rifle in the resulting spot-kick.

And that proved to be the goal which kept Livingston in the second tier as they held on for victory.
