Greenock Morton vs Peterhead preview - Winning post in sight for Morton

Morton are hoping to be crowned Scottish League One champions with a home victory against Peterhead.

Jim Duffy's side will clinch the title if they win provided closest challengers Forfar do not win by a four-goal margin against Ayr.

Ricki Lamie will play no part in the game after his dismissal at Stranraer last weekend and Stefan Milojevic remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Duffy said: "This will be a high profile game in the careers of our players and they should enjoy the spotlight being on them.

"Peterhead are a strong side with good players and they will be difficult to beat, but we will go out and look to do the business."

Former Morton manager Jim McInally has a full squad to choose from and that includes former Greenock favourite Jamie Stevenson, who has shaken off a hamstring injury.

McInally believes the intense atmosphere at his former home will help his players.

He said: "Last weekend against Airdrie we lost because they had something to play for in the second half and we didn't.

"However the crowd at Morton will give both sides a lift and I have players that will enjoy that.

"There is no pressure on us so we can enjoy the game and if we play like we can then we will make it very difficult for Morton."
