Tranmere Rovers vs Bury preview - Rovers bid farewell to League

Prenton Park will host its final Football League game for at least a season as Tranmere's 94-year existence is brought to an end against Bury.

Managerless Rovers dropped out of the top four tiers following their loss at Plymouth last weekend but the temporary management team of Alan Rogers and Shaun Garnett will aim to restore some pride in the campaign's curtain closer.

Only Marcus Holness (knee) is a long-term absentee for the Wirral-based club, who could see the likes of Max Power and Owain Fon Williams make their final appearances.

Veteran Wales midfielder Jason Koumas admitted he considered retirement in the aftermath of their relegation confirmation but concedes he will now take his time over the decision.

Automatic promotion-chasing Bury have Danny Mayor, Kelvin Etuhu and Joe Riley available.

Sky Bet League Two Player of the Year Mayor missed last weekend's win over AFC Wimbledon with a back and hamstring issue but a scan has revealed he will be fine to return.

Midfielder Etuhu, a half-time substitute against the Dons, has been given the all-clear following a neurological issue in his back while full-back Riley has been able to overcome a whack to the knee.

That leaves just defender Jim McNulty (hip) on the sidelines as David Flitcroft's men look to win their clash and hope Southend slip up against Morecambe on the coast.
