Leeds United vs Rotherham United preview - White in for Whites

Posted Friday, May 01, 2015 by PA

Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn could hand Aidy White his first appearance of the season against Rotherham.

White returned to the bench for the first time as an unused substitute in last week's win at Sheffield Wednesday following an ankle injury sustained in a pre-season friendly against Chesterfield.

Midfielder Lewis Cook is back in training but not ready for match action following an ankle injury, while defender Giuseppe Bellusci (hamstring), midfielder Tomasso Bianchi (knee) and striker Edgar Cani (knock) are still out.

Redfearn has no new injury or suspension concerns as Leeds bid to close a turbulent season with back-to-back wins.

Rotherham boss Steve Evans could be wearing a sombrero for the trip to West Yorkshire.

Evans promised to dress in his beach attire if his side had assured their Championship safety by the time they travelled to Elland Road, something they achieved with Tuesday's 2-1 win over Reading.

Defender Kirk Broadfoot came off in the second half of that clash with the Royals and is doubtful while Frazer Richardson (calf) misses out against his former club.

Evans could make changes with nothing riding on the game while loanees Jack Hunt, Emi Martinez, Daniel Lafferty and Adam Hammill are all poised to make farewell appearances.
