Derby County vs Reading preview - Rams looking strong for Royals test

Derby will have a largely unchanged squad when they look to secure a play-off spot against Reading at the iPro Stadium.

Defenders Jake Buxton (back) and Zak Whitbread (hamstring) along with midfielders Craig Bryson (thigh) and George Thorne (thigh) have all been out recently but one of the quartet may be fit in time for Saturday.

There is a possibility all four players could be involved in the play-offs - should the Rams get the point they require to all-but guarantee a top-six finish.

John Eustace's knee injury means he will not play again this season.

Royals boss Steve Clarke has three fresh injury doubts for the trip.

Midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah and strikers Pavel Pogrebnyak and Jamie Mackie all picked up knocks in Tuesday's match at Rotherham.

But winger Hal Robson-Kanu and midfielder Danny Williams, who both missed the 2-1 defeat in south Yorkshire through injury, could be back in contention.

Defender Anton Ferdinand remains on the sidelines with the calf problem which has hindered him all season.
