Peterhead 0 - 1 Airdrie United : Lindsay leaves it late
Posted Sunday, April 26, 2015 by PA
Liam Lindsay's late header earned Airdrie a 1-0 win at Peterhead in an end-of-season dead rubber.
The visitors were the better side from the start and Ross Docherty brought a parry save from Graeme Smith midway through the first half before testing him again shortly afterwards.
The pressure continued as Bob McHugh hit the post with a fierce drive seven minutes before the break.
McHugh then skied a chance from six yards while Smith was forced into another save as it looked as if Airdrie would have to settle for a point.
But Lindsay earned a deserved win when he converted Scott Fraser's cross with seven minutes remaining.
