Ayr Utd. 4 - 0 Stirling Albion : Ayr boost survival hopes with win

Posted Sunday, April 26, 2015 by PA

Ayr boosted their survival hopes with a 4-0 win over already-relegated Stirling.

Nicky Devlin put them ahead after just six minutes when he headed in Adam Blakeman's cross for his second goal of the season.

Devlin returned the favour a quarter of an hour later when he crossed for Blakeman to nod in the second.

Stirling's afternoon got worse in the 72nd minute when Lee Hamilton was sent off for handling in the area, with Jon-Paul McGovern burying the penalty.

And Blakeman wrapped up the scoring by slotting in the fourth with three minutes remaining.
