Goals by Youssef Msakni, Ali Hassan Afif and Tae-Hee Nam gave Qatar side Lekhwiya a 3-0 win over Iran's Persepolis in their Group A match in the AFC Champions League in Doha on Wednesday.
The result sees Lekhwiya top of the group with 10 points followed by Persepolis on nine points and then Al Nassr on eight points followed by Bunyodkor with one.
There were few chances during the first-half but that all changed during the second 45 minutes.
In the 69th minute the home side opened the scoring when Nam Tae-hee cut his way through the Iranian defence and sent in a cross which found Msakni, who scored with a header past goalkeeper Sousha Makani.
With seven minutes remaining Nam scored when he dribbled into the box and got the goal with a shot to make the score 2-0.
The final goal came three minutes into stoppage time when Ismail Mohamad crossed from the left for the ball to end up at Afif’s feet; he made no mistake by scoring from six-yards out.
