Livingston will look to come off the bottom of the Championship table by beating visitors Rangers on Wednesday.

A win would take the Lions above Alloa on goal difference but they go into the clash at the Energy Assets Arena without defender Craig Sives, who remains out with an ankle injury.

Manager Mark Burchill said: "This is a game that we can look forward to as we are in good form and have a tangible target to hit.

"We have been in 10th place since November and it would be great to move up to ninth with three games left to play.

"It will not be easy as I watched Rangers against Raith Rovers on Sunday and they were impressive."

Rangers skipper Lee McCulloch is clear of suspension - but boss Stuart McCall could decide against recalling the defender.

McCulloch was handed a two-match ban after catching Hearts striker Osman Sow with a high elbow but McCall is considering leaving his captain on the sidelines.

Seb Faure (knee), Richard Foster (hernia), Steven Smith (back) and Jon Daly (knee) sit the game out along with injured Newcastle loanees Kevin Mbabu (fitness issues), Remie Streete (ear infection and muscle strain), Gael Bigirimana (infection) and Shane Ferguson (knee).

"I genuinely think this could be one of the toughest games we've got left," McCall said.

"I saw them win last week at home to Falkirk and you can tell they are a team that has got everything to play for. We have got to match their desire and hopefully our quality will take over."
