The England midfielder, who has been out of action since November, played 88 minutes of the young Gunners' game with Reading as he continues his comeback from an ankle injury
Jack Wilshere stepped up his recovery from injury by playing the majority of Arsenal Under-21s' game with Reading at the Emirates Stadium.
The 23-year-old has missed most of the Gunners' season with an ankle injury, and underwent surgery in February.
In positive news for fans of the North London club, Wilshere came through the encounter unscathed, playing 88 minutes before being replaced by Glen Kamara late on.
Abou Diaby and Serge Gnabry were also involved as the pair continued to build up their fitness with a view to returning to first-team action.
Reading ran out 1-0 winners through Niall Keown's headed goal in the eight minute.
