Bury vs Shrewsbury Town preview - Riley back to face high-fliers

Joe Riley will come back into the Bury squad for high-flying Shrewsbury's visit to the JD Stadium.

The right-back has served a three-game suspension since being sent off against Northampton and Shakers boss David Flitcroft must decide whether Craig Jones, who has started the past trio of fixtures, must make way to accommodate the ex-Bolton defender.

Central defender Nathan Cameron avoided a 10th yellow card before Sunday's amnesty, meaning he will not be handed a two-match suspension even if he is cautioned again.

Striker Danny Rose (calf) was back in the squad for the weekend's victory over Newport and veteran Jim McNulty (hip) is also close to a comeback.

Shrewsbury will clinch promotion if they win at Bury and Southend fail to beat Newport.

Micky Mellon's side are second, 10 points ahead of Bury, and victory would mean the fourth-placed Shakers could not catch them and if fifth-placed Southend lose or draw with Newport, they will be too far behind to overhaul Town.

Mellon is without Ryan Woods and Connor Goldson though with the pair completing their two-match bans.

James Wesolowski and Nathaniel Knight-Percival are sidelined until next season with serious knee injuries.
