Bradford AFC vs Bristol City preview - Bantams relying on walking wounded

Bradford will field a patched-up squad against Bristol City after seeing their play-off hopes severely damaged by Saturday's loss to Gillingham.

Phil Parkinson admitted several players were nursing knocks from the weekend but added that he expected there to be no real issues.

Gary MacKenzie recovered from an ankle injury to start that game in Kent before he was withdrawn in stoppage time and is likely to retain his place.

Andy Halliday is another man who is returning to full fitness after a month out with a hamstring problem and is now pushing for a recall to the starting XI, but Christopher Routis is still suspended.

Bristol City could be unchanged once again as they look for the win needed to clinch promotion.

The Robins, who have no fresh injury worries from the side that drew 1-1 at Preston on Saturday, know that they will be playing Championship football next season with three points and could even go up if they fail to win and MK Dons and Swindon both taste defeat on Tuesday night.

An unchanged XI would see the likes of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Wade Elliott start on the bench once more as City look to make it 13 matches unbeaten.

City have lost just three times on their travels all season ahead of the trip north.
