Forfar Athletic vs Airdrie United preview - Malcolm back from ban

Forfar's Stuart Malcolm is available to face visitors Airdrie after missing their last four matches due to suspension.

However, Malcolm may have to be content with a substitute role against the Diamonds.

Derek Young is the only injury concern after he picked up a knock in training.

Manager Dick Campbell said: "We are sitting one point behind leaders Stranraer and we have to be ready to take advantage of them making any mistakes. Airdrie will be tough opponents as they have targets to hit so we will need to play very well to get the win.

"Training has been excellent and hopefully we will show that in the game."

Airdrie are without the injured Bryan Gilfillan (cheekbone) and Jim Lister (groin) as they look to keep up with the play-off pack.

Manager Gary Bollan said: "Forfar have a lot of momentum behind them at the moment but we are going to their place determined to meet our own objectives.

"They have a good mixture of pace and experience in their squad but so do we. We defeated Forfar 3-1 in our last meeting and a repeat of that performance and that score-line would be terrific.

"We showed a lot of patience and creativity to get the win at Stirling last weekend and will need the same again in this game."
