York City vs Hartlepool United FC preview - Ilesanmi should boost Minstermen
Posted Friday, April 10, 2015 by PA
York defender Femi Ilesanmi is expected to return to contention for the home game against relegation rivals Hartlepool.
Ilesanmi missed Monday's goalless draw at York due to a knee injury sustained in training, while boss Russ Wilcox has no new injury or suspension problems.
Emile Sinclair has missed the last three games due to a thigh strain and remains doubtful and fellow striker Wes Fletcher is not ready for match action following a torn hamstring.
Wilcox, whose side are five points and three places better off than Hartlepool, must decide whether to retain Michael Ingham in goal or recall on-loan Bobby Olejnik.
Hartlepool boss Ronnie Moore will make a late decision on on-loan Preston forward Jordan Hugill.
Hugill sustained an eye injury in Monday's home defeat to Southend and will consult a specialist on Friday, but could still play a part.
Striker Scott Fenwick made a goalscoring return for the reserves this week after seven weeks out with an ankle injury, but is not yet ready to return.
The game will also come too soon for defender Matthew Bates, who played the full 90 minutes for the second string in midweek after being sidelined for two months due to a leg injury.
