Hibs moved level on points with second-placed Rangers despite making hard work of a 2-1 win over 10-man Dumbarton

They were gifted the chance to take the lead when Chris Turner fouled Liam Craig in the area, but Farid El Alagui's penalty was tipped onto the post by Danny Rogers.

The visitors did go ahead three minutes before half-time thanks to Paul Hanlon, who headed in Scott Allan's cross.

But they were pegged back 10 minutes into the second half when Mitchel Megginson smashed home the equaliser.

However, Dumbarton were reduced 10 men three minutes later when Turner saw red following a foul on Jordon Forster, and Jason Cummings tucked in a 66th-minute winner from Allan's cross.
