Bury 1 - 2 Morecambe - Shrimps stun Shakers

Morecambe struck twice in the last 11 minutes to come from behind to win 2-1 at promotion-chasing Bury.

Tom Eaves gave the hosts a 17th-minute lead but they should have killed the game off as they bossed the first hour.

Instead Padraig Amond came off the bench to claim a 79th-minute equaliser before fellow substitute Paul Mullin stunned the Shakers with an 85th-minute winner.

Bury's Andrew Tutte had fired wide before crossing for Dan Nardiello and although his shot was parried by Morecambe goalkeeper Danny Ward, Eaves was on hand to stab the loose ball home from a yard out.

Ward then denied Danny Mayor and Nardiello while Andy Parrish cleared off the line from Tom Soares.

Kevin Ellison headed wide for the visitors moments after the break but Bury were soon back on top, with Tutte, Mayor and Craig Jones testing Ward.

Jones was unable to turn in Chris Hussey's low cross with the goal gaping while Ward had to tip over a Hussey free-kick.

But Amond made Bury pay, beating Nick Pope after being played in by Andrew Fleming.

A poor clearance by the Bury keeper then went straight to Jamie Devitt, who turned it towards the open goal for Mullin to finish off.
