Hartlepool United FC vs Southend United preview - Full steam ahead for Pools

Posted Sunday, April 05, 2015 by PA

Hartlepool boss Ronnie Moore could name an unchanged starting line-up for the home game against Southend.

Moore has no new injury or suspension worries following Friday's 2-2 draw at Newport when his relegation battlers extended their unbeaten run to five matches.

On-loan Reading midfielder Aaron Tshibola came through unscathed against Newport after shaking off a groin strain in time and is expected to resume in the starting XI.

Defenders Matthew Bates (leg) and Stuart Parnaby (knee), striker Scott Fenwick and Michael Woods (both ankle) all remain sidelined.

Southend defender Adam Thompson is unlikely to head north.

Thompson was forced off on Good Friday after just 11 minutes with a shoulder injury.

Cian Bolger replaced him during the 2-0 win over Mansfield and will now expect to start after drawing praise from boss Phil Brown for his performance.

Brown picked up no other major injury or suspension problems against the Stags and could keep changes to a minimum following his side's second win in six games.
