Crawley Town - Oldham Athletic AFC preview - Luckless Leacock out for Reds

Posted Sunday, April 05, 2015 by PA

Crawley look set to be without Dean Leacock when they host Oldham.

Luckless defender Leacock returned to the side for Saturday's goalless draw at Crewe but appeared to suffer a recurrence of the groin injury which had sidelined him since Boxing Day.

With fellow centre-half Darren Ward likely to miss the rest of the season with a foot injury, boss Dean Saunders may have to call upon recent signing Kelly Youga despite his lack of match fitness.

Midfielders Conor Henderson (ankle) and Josh Simpson (hamstring) are still on the sidelines.

Oldham boss Dean Holden faces a late call on a couple of players ahead of the trip.

Anthony Gerrard is nursing a muscle problem and was forced to make way for James Wilson late on against Bristol City, with Wilson continuing his comeback from a calf problem.

Jonathan Forte has a knee problem and will be assessed before the game but should be fit to play, especially with his strike partner Rhys Turner just returning from a hamstring injury.

Luke Woodland was also taken off after landing awkwardly, while Jacob Mellis, George Elokobi and Amari Morgan-Smith (all hamstring) have just returned to training.
