Greenock Morton vs Brechin City preview - Morton wait on McKee
Posted Friday, April 03, 2015 by PA
Title-chasing Morton will check on Joe McKee ahead of fourth-placed Brechin's visit to Cappielow.
The midfielder is struggling with an ankle problem and could join Stefan Milojevic and Connor Pepper (both knee) on the sidelines.
Manager Jim Duffy is looking for his side to build on a fine 4-0 victory against Dunfermline last weekend.
He said: "That was our best display of 2015 and the scoreline did not flatter us. We will need that again as Brechin will want the win just as much as we want it."
Brechin welcome back Colin Hamilton and Bobby Barr after suspension while Craig Storie has returned from international duty with Scotland Under-19s.
But City will have to do without Alan Trouten, who remains sidelined with a rib injury, and the suspended Callum Tapping.
Manager Ray McKinnon said: "This is a cup final for us as we want to keep hold of our play-off space and it is a cup final for Morton as they want to win the league.
"We have done well against them this season and I want to be saying that again."
