Airdrie United vs Stenhousemuir preview - Boyle banned for Airdrie

Paddy Boyle misses Airdrie's clash with Stenhousemuir through suspension as they look to keep their promotion hopes alive.

Bryan Gilfillan is missing with a fractured cheekbone and Jim Lister remains sidelined with a groin injury.

Manager Gary Bollan said: "We are still in with a chance of being involved in the play-offs but we need to win this game. We played well at Stranraer last weekend but lost to a late wonder goal.

"We can, however, take heart from our performance against the league leaders and use that to see off a Stenhousemuir side that will battle for the points that keep them away from relegation trouble."

The Warriors welcome back captain Ross McMillan after a knock but they will be without player-coach Colin McMenamin who is serving a ban.

Paul McMullan is also missing as he is with Scotland's Under-19 side in Austria and Bryan Hodge misses out with a calf problem.

Interim manager Brown Ferguson said: "We were disappointed to lose to Dunfermline last weekend as our performance deserved at least a point.

"Airdrie are a strong side and we will need to make a few changes but I'm sure that if we hit the same standard that we hit against Dunfermline then we have a good chance of picking up points."
