Bury vs Southend United preview - Holding set for Bury bow

David Flitcroft could hand Rob Holding a Bury debut when fellow promotion hopefuls Southend come to the JD Stadium.
The defender joined his Bolton team-mate Tom Eaves at the Shakers after agreeing to a loan move on Thursday ahead of the Football League deadline.
Flitcroft needed to find somebody to fill the void left by ex-Wanderer Joe Riley, with the right-back starting a three-game suspension following his dismissal against Northampton last weekend.
Striker Daniel Nardiello (hamstring) was back on the bench as an unused substitute for that fixture and fellow forward Danny Rose (calf) is also close to a comeback.
Phil Brown's Southend are missing both Luke Prosser and Kevan Hurst.
Central defender Prosser is suffering from whiplash-like effects, according to Brown, following his withdrawal in last weekend's 0-0 draw with Cambridge at Roots Hall.
Adam Barrett could come in to contention to fill that void having overcome illness while other options to slot into the heart of the defence include Cian Bolger or loanee Jerome Binnom-Williams.
Midfielder Hurst will miss the next few weeks through a hamstring injury which has been diagnosed as a grade-one tear and Myles Weston will also miss out after being called up to the Antigua squad.
