Louis van Gaal to spend £100m on new players in the summer

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is planning another summer of huge spending, with Paul Pogba and Dani Alves amongst his top targets according to the Daily Mail.
The Dutch boss splashed more than £150 million on the likes of Daley Blind and Angel di Maria last time round to speed up the rebuilding process following David Moyes' disastrous 10 months in charge of the club.
DECISION
Much has been made of Van Gaal's decision to bring in a host of top stars rather than build on the club's tradition of bringing through youngsters, but it seems that he'll go for established stars once again when the season comes to an end in an attempt to replicate Real Madrid's 'Galacticos' policy.
The Daily Mail claims that Manchester United officials will hand Van Gaal £100 million-plus to buy new players if he guides the Red Devils to the Champions League, which he is well on course to do.
The paper reports that there are a host of top players across Europe that Van Gaal is taking a look at. Chief amongst his targets is Paul Pogba. The midfielder walked away from Old Trafford for free in 2012 and has gone on to be one of the best in his position in Europe - and with Manchester United in the market for a dynamic midfielder he could be on his way back in the summer.
