Veteran defender Darren Dods scored his third goal of the season as Forfar recorded a 3-2 victory over Brechin.

The hosts drew first blood after just six minutes when Paul McLean carried the ball into Forfar's half before firing past goalkeeper Robert Douglas from range.

The visitors levelled things up in the 13th minute when Derek Young's shot was deflected into the back of Graeme Smith's net.

The Sky Blues then took the lead two minutes later when Chris Templeman slotted in from the middle of the area after good work from Gavin Swankie.

Forfar extended their advantage in the 65th minute when Dods headed in from Martyn Fotheringham's corner, before Brechin's Andrew Jackson headed in from close range to make it 3-2.
