Stirling Albion vs Peterhead preview - Beith back to boost Stirling
Posted Friday, March 20, 2015 by PA
Stirling welcome back Angus Beith to their midfield as they host Peterhead with the Forthbank men still looking for their first home win of the season.
Beith is back after a knock, but Darren Smith (knee) is out and a stomach problem keeps Steven Doris sidelined, while assistant manager Martyn Corrigan is still disappointed at the 1-0 midweek defeat to leaders Stranraer.
Corrigan said: "We did enough to get a point and then made a mistake that allowed them to score.
"The players are putting a lot into games, but are just coming up a bit short, but hopefully we can get something against a good Peterhead side."
Peterhead will be without the suspended Jamie Redman, but Nicky Riley returns from a knock t To help the Blueoon chase the win that will keep them in the play-off hunt.
Manager Jim McInally said: "I watched Stirling in midweek against Stranraer and for good parts of the game you could not tell who the side at the top of the table was.
"They have played well against Morton and Dunfermline recently as well, so we know that we are in for a tough game.
"If we play like we can then we will get the three points that keeps us looking up the way, but it will be hard."
