Brechin City vs Forfar Athletic preview - Double boost for Brechin

Brechin pair Paul McLean and Craig Molloy will both be available after suspension and are expected to start against Angus rivals Forfar.

The Glebe Park side, who missed out on creating a club record of 18 league games undefeated when they lost to Peterhead last weekend, will be without Colin Hamilton, who is banned, and Alan Trouten, who has a rib injury.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "This is a big game as not only does it impact on the promotion race, it has a derby edge to it as well.

"It is a really tight league this season and winning this one would take us one step closer to the play-offs."

Forfar will be without defender Stuart Malcolm, who sits out the second game of a four-match ban, but everyone else in the Station Park squad is available to manager Dick Campbell.

Despite last Saturday's success over leaders Stranraer, Campbell is planning changes to his starting XI.

The Loons boss said: "There are a couple of areas that I felt we needed to improve on and I will make changes accordingly.

"This should be a great game and a game where your players need to stand up and be counted.

"I'm hoping that after good wins over Morton and Stranraer my players show the same determination to have a great season."
