Toulouse vs Bordeaux preview - Arribage vows to make changes

New Toulouse coach Dominique Arribage has vowed to ring the changes as he prepares for his first game in charge of the struggling side against Bordeaux in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

Arribage replaced long-serving Alain Casanova who was sacked on Monday and his first task is to reinvigorate a club who have slipped into the relegation zone on the back of their latest four-game winless streak.

Arribage told a press conference: "I have my vision and my methods and I want something to be different. The idea is to re-activate all the players and when you have a new coach it means a new chance for everyone.

"I am not a rocket scientist but I will find things to improve. This club is inside me and I cannot express any more my love for Toulouse. Since Monday when I came in it has all been about work and I can't wait to get started."

Bordeaux head into the game in much better shape after stretching their unbeaten streak to eight games with a magnificent 3-2 win over Paris St Germain last Sunday.

Victory pushed Willy Sagnol's men up to sixth place in the table and only two points behind fourth-placed Monaco, but Sagnol knows the same level of concentration will be required against Toulouse.

Sagnol said: "Against Paris it was important to start well but it will be even more important on Saturday against a team that have just changed their coach.

"Somehow this team is a little fragile and you cannot go from zero to one hundred overnight. So if the start of the match is not as successful as it was against Paris, this will all play into the hands of Toulouse. It is up to us to avoid that."

Bordeaux are without Nicolas Pallois who has a toe injury while Thomas Toure faces a late fitness test and Henri Saivet is expected to return.
