Huddersfield Town vs Fulham preview - Vaughan banned for Terriers

Huddersfield will be without suspended striker James Vaughan for their home game against Fulham.

Vaughan was sent off for his second bookable offence for his stoppage-time goal celebration in the midweek draw with Norwich and sits out a one-game ban.

Boss Chris Powell is hoping fellow forward Nahki Wells will return to contention after missing the last five games due to a shoulder injury, but Harry Bunn (hamstring) remains sidelined, as does on-loan defender Jack Robinson (knee), who has returned to parent club QPR for treatment.

Defender Anthony Gerrard, out of contract in the summer, has joined Oldham on loan until the end of the season and will not play again for Town, who chase their first win in six matches, while Mark Hudson makes his 400th professional appearance.

Fulham defender Kostas Stafylidis is suspended and they could also be without Ross McCormack.

Stafylidis serves a one-match ban after he was sent off for picking up two yellow cards in the space of a minute against Leeds on Wednesday night.

Striker McCormack is a major doubt after limping off with a knee injury towards the end of the 3-0 defeat against his former club.

Veteran skipper Scott Parker will be assessed to see if he can manage a third game in eight days while fellow midfielders Lasse Vigen Christensen (hamstring) and George Williams (cruciate) are still out.
