Bury vs Northampton Town preview - Cameron banned for Bury

Nathan Cameron is banned when Bury host Northampton at the JD Stadium.

The centre-back picked up his 10th yellow card of the campaign in Tuesday night's 1-0 victory over York, which moved the Shakers up to fourth in the Sky Bet League Two table, and will now serve a two-game suspension.

That means Adam El-Abd, who himself recently served a ban, is likely to come in alongside Jim McNulty in the heart of David Flitcroft's defence.

Flitcroft confirmed this weekend's clash is likely to come too soon for Daniel Nardiello (hamstring) but he could return next week while fellow forward Danny Rose (calf) is a little further away.

Northampton could hand a debut to new loan signing Diego De Girolamo

The striker, who had been on loan at York, joined from Sheffield United until the end of the season on Thursday with top scorer Marc Richards still struggling with an Achilles problem.

Ricky Holmes could also be available after missing the 2-0 defeat to Carlisle with a knee injury.

The club are hopeful the midfielder will return following a scan on Tuesday after he came off in the 1-0 win over Tranmere last week.
