Man City are set to offer Liverpool £50 million for Raheem Sterling this summer, according to reports in the Daily Star.
Sterling has been stalling over a new contract at Anfield, which his agent claiming he is worth £150,000 per week, £50,000 more than the £100,000 per week that Anfield chiefs have put on the table.
Although Sterling has been great for Liverpool since breaking into the side in the tail end of Kenny Dalglish's reign at the club, it is in the last 18 months where his form has really exploded.
Nonetheless, Liverpool may be willing to do a deal, especially given the recent emergence of Jordan Ibe who has dazzled onlookers since returning from a loan spell with Derby in January.
Liverpool face Man Utd at Anfield in a vital top four clash this weekend. Sterling is certain to start.
