Dagenham and Redbridge 2 : 0 Plymouth Argyle - Daggers put Plymouth to sword

Posted Wednesday, March 18, 2015 by PA

Dagenham put in one of their best performances of the season to beat Plymouth 2-0 at Victoria Road.

Ashley Hemmings nearly gave the hosts the lead after 15 minutes when he headed Ashley Chambers' corner towards goal, but Tareiq Dennis cleared off the line.

But with half an hour played the Daggers did go ahead when Jamie Cureton and Chambers linked up.

The latter went through on goal, and although Curtis Nelson brilliantly tackled him the ball ran through to Abu Ogogo and he smashed into the empty net.

Argyle should have been level nine minutes later when Lewis Alessandra got to the byline and cut back for Reuben Reid, but the forward fired over the bar from close range.

Dagenham doubled their advantage two minutes from time when Cureton lobbed over Luke McCormick.
