Morecambe vs Shrewsbury Town preview - Edwards set for Morecambe return

Morecambe will welcome back Ryan Edwards for Shrewsbury's visit to the Globe Arena.

The Shrimps were missing the former Blackpool trainee in Saturday's loss to Hartlepool because of suspension but the defender returns from a one-game ban.

Boss Jim Bentley fielded four forwards in the disappointing defeat to Pools and may have to change his formation again because both Kevin Ellison (foot) and Shaun Beeley (knee) needed treatment after the weekend.

Midfielder Jamie Devitt has a groin problem so must be assessed again and goalkeeper Barry Roche (shoulder) is definitely out.

Liam Lawrence could return to Shrewsbury's starting line-up after a second-half substitute appearance in Saturday's defeat at Wycombe.

The midfielder had been out with bruising to the bone and made his comeback in the 1-0 loss.

Andy Mangan is fit-again after a knee operation and travelled to Adams Park but did not make the matchday squad.

Defender Rhys Sharpe is in contention to make his debut after being an unused substitute at Wycombe following his loan move from Derby while James Wesolowski and Nathaniel Knight-Percival (both knee) are out for the season.
