Stirling Albion vs Stranraer preview - Stirling back for Stirling

Bottom side Stirling welcome on-loan midfielder Andy Stirling back into their ranks when they host Stranraer after he missed out on Saturday's 1-1 draw with his parent club Dunfermline.

Ross Forsyth is expected back but Angus Beith is an injury doubt with Steven Doris (stomach muscle) and Darren Smith (knee) both remaining out.

Assistant manager Martyn Corrigan said: "We showed a lot of character at Dunfermline and confirmed that we have not given anything up either. We gave Stranraer a really tough game the last time we played them and it took a late goal before we lost.

"We will look to keep them out for the 90 minutes this time."

Stranraer will be without Jon McShane at Forthbank as the striker sustained a knee injury when the Stair Park men went down 1-0 to Forfar at the weekend.

Manager Stephen Aitken is looking for his men to get back to winning ways, as he explained: "After a fantastic 5-1 win over Dunfermline we have not picked up any points in our games with Stenhousemuir and Forfar."

A win would take the Blues to the top of the table but that is a secondary objective to Aitken.

He added: "I will look at our league position after the game. All I want us to do is to get winning again."
