The Real Madrid midfielder looks set for a switch to Schalke, according to the retired Norwegian striker.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira of late, but it appears that the Gunners may well have decided against a move for the Germany international.
Respected Bundesliga pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft has revealed on social media that Khedira could well be heading back to his homeland, with a move to Schalke on the cards.
However, the Norwegian also commented that the Gunners have decided not to make a move for the midfielder, who is out of contract at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
Looks like Khedira going to Schalke. Many English clubs have followed him, but for excample Arsenal decided "not going for him"

Arsenal signed Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid - something that was ironically revealed by Fjortoft, while the number of German players in Arsene Wenger's squad suggest that Khedira would be a potential signing.
The North London club have had issues in the centre of midfield this season, with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta all suffering long-term injury setbacks.
Khedira has only started three La Liga games this season at the Santiago Bernabeu despite playing a key role for the Spanish capital city side in previous campaigns.
Would Arsenal be right to pass up the German on a free transfer?
