Queen of the South vs Raith preview - Duo ruled out of Raith clash

Queen of the South will be without the suspended Mark Durnan and Chris Higgins against Raith.

Paul Burns is also absent due to a hip injury and Gavin Reilly is a doubt with a hamstring problem but Derek Lyle returns after a two-game ban while their goal hero from the 1-1 draw with Rangers in midweek, 17 year old Aidan Smith, is set for a substitute role again.

Manager James Fowler said: "Taking a point at Ibrox has given everyone a real boost after going out of the Scottish Cup to Falkirk. We will look to build on that against a Raith team still involved in the promotion chase."

Rovers miss only striker Calum Elliot, who had knee surgery recently, as they look to bounce back from losing their Scottish Cup quarter-final tie to Inverness on Tuesday night.

Manager Grant Murray said: "We are looking to get back to winning ways as soon as possible and hopefully we will do that at Palmerston. We are still in with a shout of being involved in the play-offs and winning this game boosts those chances.

"We won well at Livingston in our last league game after losing to Rangers and it would be good to show that spirit of recovery again against a good Queen's side."
