Wycombe Wanderers vs Shrewsbury Town preview - Bean hoping for Chairboys recall
Posted Friday, March 13, 2015 by PA
Marcus Bean could be recalled to Gareth Ainsworth's Wycombe side against Shrewsbury after missing the last few weeks.
A persistent knee injury has hampered Bean's involvement of late, but he returned to the bench in Saturday's draw at Southend and could be handed a recall.
Max Kretzschmar (groin) is likely to miss out once again, along with the suspended Matt McClure, while Peter Murphy could replace Matt Bloomfield.
A win for Ainsworth's men would take them above their opponents and into second place, above a Shrewsbury side with just one win in their last four.
Shrewsbury could welcome back Andy Mangan and Liam Lawrence after the duo returned to training this week.
Striker Mangan has been out since January with a knee injury while midfielder Lawrence has missed the last three games with a dead leg and bruising on the bone.
James Wesolowski and Nathaniel Knight-Percival are out for the season following cruciate knee ligament injuries.
They have undergone surgery and have already had a light jogging session.
