Cambridge United vs Stevenage Borough preview - Harrold worry for Cambridge

Posted Friday, March 13, 2015 by PA

Matt Harrold is a new injury concern for Cambridge as they prepare to host play-off hopefuls Stevenage.

Harrold is struggling with a swollen knee and the striker, on loan from Crawley, is a doubt along with Jordan Chiedozie and Luke Chadwick.

Chiedozie is nearing a return having been out for the past month while Chadwick was back in the squad at Shrewsbury last weekend after a five-match absence with an ankle problem but the veteran midfielder is nursing a new knock after playing for the development squad on Tuesday afternoon.

Tom Elliott and Rory Gaffney both remain out. Gaffney, who is yet to play for Cambridge, requires an ankle operation.

Stevenage's injury problems are clearing up, with three players closing in on returns.

Calvin Zola (hamstring), Harry Worley (knee) and Dave McAllister (groin) have all resumed training after spells on the sidelines.

Jon Ashton was fit enough for a place on the bench against Newport last weekend after a tendon injury and could be added to the starting line-up along with Keith Keane, who came on as a sub following his loan switch from Preston.

But boss Graham Westley is unlikely to tinker too much with the side which ran out 2-1 winners for their third win in four matches.
