Chesterfield vs Coventry preview - Chesterfield without Morsy

Sam Morsy will be suspended when Chesterfield resume their League One play-off challenge at home to Coventry.

Morsy was booked for the 10th time this season during the win against MK Dons and the combative central midfielder must now serve a two-match ban.

Blues boss Paul Cook, whose team were without a game last weekend due to Bradford's involvement in the FA Cup, has Dan Jones fit again after an ankle injury so he could resume at left-back, allowing Sam Clucas to return to his usual attacking role.

On-loan Sheffield Wednesday forward Caolan Lavery has extended his stay at the Proact Stadium until the end of the season and, after scoring in each of the last two games, is expected to retain his place in the starting line-up.

Boss Tony Mowbray is hopeful Jim O'Brien will recover from a hamstring injury in time for the trip.

The midfielder came off in the second half of Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Bradford but was due to train on Friday.

Jordan Willis might be involved after playing for the Under-21s in the week following a month out with an ankle injury.

But Aaron Phillips may sit out after suffering a blow to the head against the Bantams in midweek and Reda Johnson remains sidelined with a muscle tear.
