Hibernian FC 2 - 1 Livingston - Hibs leave it late

Franck Dja Djedje scored the winner two minutes from time as Hibernian left it late to stretch their advantage over Rangers to five points with a 2-1 Scottish Championship victory over Livingston.

Jason Cummings had the first opportunity of the game just five minutes in when Djedje picked him out but his goalbound effort was blocked.

The hosts came close to taking the lead in the 27th minute but Martin Boyle saw his header from Liam Craig's free-kick come back off the bar.

However, just three minutes later Hibs were ahead when Cummings was played in by Craig and he kept his composure to fire his 14th goal of the season past Darren Jamieson.

LIvingston fought hard to get back into the game but found it difficult to penetrate a stubborn Hibs defence and Danny Mullen was outmuscled in the box by Paul Hanlon as they pushed for the equaliser.

Ibra Sekajja blasted an effort wide four minutes from time before moments later he looked to have earned Livi a point when he tapped home from close range.

But Livingston's joy was short-lived as Hibs earned all three points two minutes from the end when Djedje climbed highest to head home Lewis Stevenson's cross.
