Peterhead 3 - 2 Forfar Athletic - McDonald downs Forfar

Gary McDonald scored a late winner as Peterhead recorded a 3-2 victory over 10-man Forfar.

The visitors broke the deadlock with less than two minutes on the clock when Gavin Swankie rifled the ball into the back of home goalkeeper Graeme Smith's net.

Peterhead levelled things up in the 39th minute when James Redman fired in from the right side of the box before taking the lead two minutes later when Andrew Rodgers headed home from the middle of the area.

Forfar went down to 10 men in the 69th minute when Stuart Malcolm was dismissed, but they were able to pull themselves level in the 82nd minute through Danny Denholm.

But Peterhead snatched all three points three minutes before the end when McDonald fired in from close range.
