Edwards nears comeback

Yeovil skipper Joe Edwards is hoping to win his fitness battle in time to face former club Bristol City.

Midfielder Edwards has missed the last five games due to an ankle injury, but recently returned to training and could be in contention.

Goalkeeper Chris Weale is also hoping to feature after recovering from injury but another former Bristol City player, midfielder Simon Gillet, will play no part due to his season-ending knee injury.

Winger Liam Davis remains doubtful due to a troublesome groin problem as the Glovers chase back-to-back league wins for the first time this season.

Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill is expected to keep changes to a minimum as his side chases a fifth straight league win.

Cotterill has no new injury or suspension worries following Saturday's 2-1 win at Crawley, where former Yeovil defender Luke Ayling headed the winner.

Defender Greg Cunningham and forward Jay Emmanuel-Thomas are among those pushing for recalls, but may have to settle for a place on the bench again.

George Saville, on loan from Wolves, is in contention and provides Cotterill with midfield options as City bid to extend their 10-point lead at the top.
