Greenock Morton 0 - 2 Forfar Athletic - Forfar close on leaders
Posted Sunday, March 08, 2015 by PA
Forfar moved to within three points of leaders Morton following a 2-0 win over the table-toppers.
Morton enjoyed the better of the early chances as Rab Douglas made two great saves to keep out Declan McManus.
Douglas was again called into action as Jamie McCluskey played in his brother Stefan, and his 18-yard shot was beaten away by the keeper.
The home side fell behind when Sean Crighton brought down Chris Templeman, and although Derek Gaston saved Iain Campbell's penalty, James Dale followed up to score the rebound.
Morton battled without really testing Douglas and Forfar sealed the points when Gavin Swankie played in Gavin Malin and he kept his cool to slot home.
Jamie McCluskey had Morton's best late chance but the visitors held on.
