Cowdenbeath vs Glasgow Rangers preview - Blue Brazil eye response
Posted Saturday, March 07, 2015 by PA
Cowdenbeath will aim to bounce back from their 10-0 hammering against Hearts when they entertain Rangers.
The Blue Brazil will be without the injured trio of Colin Marshall (hamstring), Sammy Stewart (groin) and Jordan Halsman (ankle) as well as the suspended Lewis Toshney.
Manager Jimmy Nicholl said: "I was angrier after I watched footage of the (Hearts) game than at the time as I saw how much we stood off Hearts. We never closed them down in the manner we can. I am looking for better against Rangers.
"Everyone was a bit low at the beginning of the week but the best way to get going again is by playing football and we get that chance in this game."
Rangers welcome back four players for Saturday's trip.
Skipper Lee McCulloch, defenders Lee Wallace and Marius Zaliukas and midfielder Ian Black all missed last Friday's 1-1 draw at Falkirk through injury and illness but are fit to return.
Goalkeeper Cammy Bell returned to action with the club's Under-20s side in midweek after six months out with shoulder trouble but is not ready for first-team duties, while injured Newcastle loanees Kevin Mbabu, Gael Bigirimana, Remie Streete, Shane Ferguson remain on the sidelines with hernia victim Richard Foster.
