AFC Wimbledon vs York City preview - Francomb back for Dons

George Francomb is back in the AFC Wimbledon squad for the visit of York.

The winger has been sidelined by a hamstring injury since the defeat at Shrewsbury on Valentine's Day, but he returned to full training this week.

However, the Dons will be without defender Dave Winfield, who is on loan from York and not eligible to face his parent club.

Jake Goodman is not ready to return following a broken toe so Mark Phillips could step into the back four in Winfield's absence.

York's on-loan forward Diego De Girolamo is hoping to shake off illness and return to contention.

The Italian Under-20 international, back on loan from Sheffield United, missed the midweek win at Cambridge due to a virus and may have to settle for a place among the substitutes if he is fit.

Striker Jake Hyde returned from suspension to score in Tuesday night's 3-0 win, while fellow front men Wes Fletcher and Michael Coulson were also on target.

Midfielder Luke Summerfield is still struggling with the thigh injury that has kept him out since the end of January.
