Stevenage will be without Chris Beardsley through suspension when they host Plymouth.
The striker was sent off for a second bookable offence during Saturday's 2-2 draw at Wycombe and serves a one-match ban.
Manager Graham Westley was already short of options in attack with Adam Marriott recovering from knee surgery and fellow forward Calvin Zola still short of fitness
Westley will run the rule over skipper Ronnie Henry, who returned from a groin injury against Wycombe, to assess whether he can play two games in four days.
Pilgrims top-scorer Reuben Reid is an injury doubt for the trip to Stevenage.
Manager John Sheridan said the 17-goal striker will be given a late assessment ahead of the game, after he missed Saturday's defeat with a foot injury.
Lewis Alessandra and Ryan Brunt combined up front together after Reid was ruled out having been given a series of cortisone injections.
Olly Lee will is still missing as he serves the second game of a three-match suspension, with Plymouth looking to regain their place inside the top seven.
