Ayr Utd. vs Peterhead preview - Campbell out for Ayr
Posted Monday, March 02, 2015 by PA
Ayr are missing Martyn Campbell when they host Peterhead in a replay of their league game from November.
The clash has been forced to be replayed as Blue Toon defender Reece Donaldson featured when he should have been serving a suspension.
Peter Murphy will play his second comeback game after injury and David Robertson should recover from a knock picked up in the 2-0 win over Forfar on Saturday.
Manager Ian McCall is hoping that his side can continue their push away from the foot of the table.
McCall said: "We moved another three points ahead of Stirling and Stenhousemuir with a good win, however that can be undone quickly."
Peterhead striker Rory McAllister is available after a three-game ban, but he may have to be content for a place on the bench as Andy Rodgers has been in good form.
Donaldson misses out as a further part of the punishment meted out by the SPFL and Dean Cowie misses out with a knee injury.
Manager Jim McInally said: "We lost to Morton at the weekend, however I was pleased with how we played. If we play like that at Ayr I am sure that we will do well.
"If we win this one we are back where we thought we were when the game was first played."
