Tranmere Rovers vs Wycombe Wanderers preivew - Thompson set for Tranmere retrun

Josh Thompson should come back into Tranmere's squad to face Sky Bet League Two high-fliers Wycombe.
The defender missed the weekend's loss to Cheltenham with concussion but Rovers boss Micky Adams is hopeful he can welcome him back given his dearth of options in that area of the pitch.
Michael Ihiekwe, only just back from an ankle injury, played 90 minutes on Saturday but full-back Liam Ridehalgh (back) was an unused substitute and Matt Hill (Achilles) and Marcus Holness (knee) are long-term absentees.
New signing Jordan Hugill (knee), brought in because of Cole Stockton's hernia problem, could make his home bow after completing his first 90 minutes of senior football since April, while midfielder Rob Taylor will hope to overcome a hamstring strain.
Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth could welcome back two players to his side.
Matt McClure was a surprise omission in the draw against Stevenage on Saturday, but his manager revealed afterwards that a late hamstring problem forced the striker onto the bench.
Marcus Bean was also left out as a precaution following a knee injury, but he is expected to return at Prenton Park.
Aaron Pierre completes the second game of a two-match ban after receiving 10 yellow cards this season.
