Airdrie United vs Stirling Albion preview - Keeper absent for Airdrie

Airdrie will be without Rohan Ferguson for the visit of bottom club Stirling.

The back-up goalkeeper is out after suffering a facial injury in a development squad match this week but everyone else is fit for the Diamonds, who are on a five-game unbeaten run.

"We put on a good display to win at Stenhousemuir last weekend after we had made a slow start. I want us to be good from the first whistle this week," said Airdrie manager Gary Bollan.

"Stirling have strengthened their squad and we need to be wary of them but I would like us to continue going about our business quietly with a win."

Andy Stirling, on loan from Dunfermline, will be added to the visitor's squad and Albion are also trying to sign a defender before making the trip.

Steven Doris and Graham Weir remain out with stomach muscle injuries and Darren Smith is not quite yet ready to return after a knee problem.

"We were disappointing against Ayr a couple of weeks ago but must better against Brechin in our last game," said Stirling assistant manager Martyn Corrigan.

"If we can keep that improvement going then we can bring something home with us from Airdrie. Having the attacking threat of Andy Stirling in our squad has given everyone a real lift."
