Morecambe vs Cambridge United preview - Fleming back for Shrimps

Andy Fleming's return to the Morecambe squad gives manager Jim Bentley an array of options for Cambridge's visit to the Globe Arena.

The midfielder missed the Shrimps' win over Newport last Saturday because his wife was giving birth.

Midfielder Jamie Devitt (back) and striker Paul Mullin (calf) started on the bench but both are now considered fully fit following another week of recovery time.

Stewart Drummond (knee) is back in training too, leaving just goalkeeper Barry Roche (hip) on the sidelines.

Experienced midfielder Luke Chadwick could return to the Cambridge squad.

The 34-year-old former Manchester United trainee has missed the last three matches with an ankle problem but may make the bench at the weekend.

The U's other injured players will all remain on the sidelines. Tom Elliott, Rory Gaffney (ankle), Jordan Chiedozie and Matteo Lanzoni are not yet ready to come back into the reckoning.

Meanwhile, striker Ryan Bird has joined Sky Bet League Two rivals Hartlepool on a month-long loan deal.
