Charlton Athletic vs Huddersfield Town preview - Cousins in Addicks frame

Charlton expect to have Jordan Cousins available when they welcome former boss Chris Powell and his Huddersfield side to The Valley.

Cousins was left out of the team as manager Guy Luzon revealed he needed to rest a muscle complaint, but the midfielder should now be fit to return.

His place in the starting line-up went to Lawrie Wilson but he was hauled off at half-time of the 2-0 defeat to Derby in favour of new signing Alou Diarra, who could now make his full debut on Saturday.

Chris Eagles is also looking to play at the Valley for the first time since joining the club, but skipper Johnnie Jackson (leg), fellow midfielder Milos Veljkovic (shoulder), defender Rhoys Wiggins (leg) and winger Franck Moussa (knee) remain in the treatment room.

Huddersfield boss Powell is hoping Nahki Wells, Sean Scannell and Conor Coady can all prove their fitness in time to face his old club.

Striker Wells sustained a knock to his shin and thigh in the midweek win against Reading, winger Scannell missed the win due to a hamstring strain and midfielder Coady was absent through illness.

Powell has no other new injury or suspension concerns but centre-half Joel Lynch, who has missed five games due to a groin injury, remains sidelined.

Huddersfield are bidding to extend their unbeaten league run on the road to four matches.
