Simeone: "I'm happy"

Simeone said that he is leaving the BayArena "happy" because, based on how the match played out, the result "could have been worse" for his team.
The Argentine coach expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the game had unfolded, specifically the fact that he was forced to make two changes before the break due to injuries picked up by Saul and Siqueira.
Despite that, he had no complaints about the German side's tough approach to closing down the 'Rojiblancos'. "They are an intense team. We like playing teams like that", he said.
